Sharon Lucy Prasad
Counselor and Psychotherapist
Having done my masters in counseling and psychotherapy, I use an eclectic approach in the therapy room, specifically using person-centered therapy and narrative therapy along with tools from CBT, family systems theory, attachment theory. I’ve got a certificate training in trauma-informed care, a certificate in CBT skills. I have experience working with adolescents and young adults in therapy; and have a first-hand understanding of the challenges of late adulthood and their caregiver support with my experience in the hospital setting. With a background in HRM, I also serve as an EAP counselor to the staff in the hospital. My lived experiences have made me sensitive to people's needs, fostering empathy and compassion. I firmly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in healing. I enjoy it when the counseling process is insight-oriented and client-led.
